Cochlear implant
Basically a cochlear implant to me is nothing short of a miracle.
I began gradually loosing my hearing around the age of 16 , by mid twenties i had lost most
of my hearing and ability to understand spoken words. (Heredetery in my family but not every family member becomes deaf).
I recieved a cochlear implant in my left ear around 2003 at university hospital in
cleveland ohio.( Dr. Megarian ) I now hear 80% in a quiet setting with that ear.
I can hear my grandsons and music although words a bit hard to understand in the music still.
I can talk to my family on the phone. :)
If you are hard of hearing and considering an implant please feel free to ask any questions you
may have. ( I know i had alot of them myself)

Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about two and half years ago.
This illness can be very painful and life altering and not alot of people are aware of fibromyalgia
so i wanted to include it here.
What is fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic pain disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal aches, pain and stiffness, soft
tissue tenderness, general fatigue, and sleep disturbances. The most common sites of pain include the neck, back, shoulders,
pelvic girdle, and hands, but any body part can be affected. Fibromyalgia patients experience a range of symptoms of varying
intensities that wax and wane over time.
